Some things strange coming
to the neighborhood Monday

Trick-or-treating will be observed in Lancaster and Northumberland counties on Halloween, Monday, October 31.

Throughout Lancaster County, including Irvington, Kilmarnock and White Stone, trick-or-treat hours are dusk to 9 p.m. Children ages 13 and older are not allowed to wear masks.

There are no set times in Northumberland County.

Motorists are reminded to drive slowly and be on the lookout for little ghouls, goblins and other costumed characters on the streets and running through neighborhoods.

Residents are reminded to leave the porch light on if you want the little creatures to stop by for treats.

Judging for Irvington’s Halloween Costume Contest will begin at 6 p.m. Monday on the commons. Three prizes will be awarded in each category, including 0-2 years, 3-4 years, 5-6 years, 7-8 years, 9-10 years, 11-12 years.

Several related holiday activities are planned Saturday, October 29, and Monday as well. Consult the calendar on page B2.
