Cantus is known around the world for its trademark warmth and blend and its engaging performances of music ranging from the Renaissance to the 21st century, said RFA vice president for external communications Julia Geier.

Cantus performs more than 60 concerts each year both in national and international touring, as well as in its home of Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minn., said Geier.

Each year the musicians share their love of singing with thousands of students through workshops, master classes and school performances to ensure the future of choral arts, she said. Their goal is to reinvigorate singers and provide useful, practical knowledge of how to make choral music a vital and engaging part of people’s lives.

Through its Arts for Youth program, RFA will present a program by Cantus at Lancaster High School October 1.

Arts for Youth and On Stage are made possible in part by grants from the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
