The event will get under way just prior to 2 p.m. when a convoy of antique military vehicles arrives, said Kilmarnock museum president and event organizer Carroll Lee Ashburn. The military vehicles will be displayed throughout the afternoon.
The King William-based Military History air/ground operations group also will be participating, said Ashburn. Ian Anderson and Cory Fox will portray Vietnam-era army troops complete with tent, sandbags, a 50-caliber tripod machine gun and other weapons.
A performance by the Kilmarnock and District Pipe Band will conclude the outside portion of the program, said Ashburn.
The honorable Tristan Hyde will be the guest speaker. There also will be refreshments and drawings for more than a dozen special door prizes. The event is sponsored by the Kilmarnock Museum.
