David Eagal, 58, of Long Point Road in Westmoreland County, was arrested without incident at his home December 19, based on evidence gathered during the course of an investigation and consultation with the Westmoreland County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office. The felony charges also include crimes against nature and computer solicitation, according to Virginia State Police Sgt. Thomas J. Molnar.

The Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Department contacted State Police after receiving a complaint alleging sexual misconduct involving a 13-year-old female, said Molnar. The sheriff’s department is assisting with the on-going state police investigation.

Molnar said Eagal was transported to the Northern Neck Regional Jail where he is being held without bond pending his arraignment January 7 in the Westmoreland County General District Court.
