The farmers include Garner’s Produce of Warsaw, Walnut Hill Farm of Colonial Beach, LMS Produce of Callao, Westmoreland Produce of Montross and Georgiatown Farm of White Stone, according to RHHT executive director Corinne Anthony. Shoppers will find fresh produce, lamb, poultry and pork; fresh-baked artisan bread; nursery plants; and a variety of made handcrafts. There is no charge to attend the Farmers’ Market.

The sixth annual Wine Fest also will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern.

The Wine Fest will showcase eight wineries of the Chesapeake Wine Trail, said Anthony. The entrance fee to the Wine Fest is $12 per person, which includes a commemorative wine glass. Food also will be available for purchase. Tickets will be sold at the gate.

Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern is the last surviving 1700’s structure of its kind in the Northern Neck, she said. The Tavern’s active artisan groups will be on-site for the Wine Fest and Farmers’ Market, working and selling their handmade wares. This includes the Tavern Blacksmith Guild in the Tavern’s forge, the Spinners and Weavers Guild, the Woodworkers Guild and the Quilters Guild. The Tavern Gift Shop also will be open.

Meanwhile, Heathsville United Methodist Church will host an ice cream social from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the church grounds. Homemade ice cream and a variety of toppings will be offered.
