Local NRA-certified instructors will teach the basics of safe pistol shooting and familiarization to adults, said training officer Mike Farson. All owners of pistols are urged to take the course which offers an introduction to safe handling and proper operation of a handgun.

“If you don’t own a handgun, we will loan you a firearm,” said Farson.

The course also will address how to choose a handgun and the fundamentals of shooting a pistol.

Successful completion of this course is accepted by local sheriffs’ departments to qualify for a concealed carry permit application.

To enroll, call Farson at 784-5040.
