Colonial characters portrayed by Scott McCord (left) and Mike Kennedy will be part of the living history programs.

This free, family-friendly event offers a variety of history and heritage activities, said executive director Karen Hart. There will be museum tours, artists, crafters, antique dealers, authors, history exhibits, children’s old-fashioned games and informational booths.

At 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., Ampersand will present concerts featuring songs of the colonial and early American eras. Visitors should bring their own lawn chairs or blankets, said Hart.  Food concessions will be available and picnics are welcome. Pets are not permitted.
