The concert will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at the Northumberland High School Auditorium, Claraville.

Peterson has captivated hundreds of audiences in North America and Europe, according to board member Phyllis Neal. A Fulbright scholar, Dr. Peterson studied at the Hochschule fur Musik in Weimar, Germany, while completing his doctoral dissertation on the piano music of Georgy Enescu at the Peabody Conservatory. He also holds a master’s in music from the University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor’s in music from the Eastman School of Music. He lives near Zurich, Switzerland, and is a faculty member of the Kantonsschule Baden.

Small enjoys an established and continuing career on the operatic and concert stage, said Neal. His repertoire is varied and he is equally comfortable with comedy or drama. He received a bachlor’s in music from the DePauw University School of Music as well as a bachelor’s in voice performance with a Performer‘s Certificate. He is a professor at the University of Texas at Austin.

The Peterson-Small Duo will present a varied program which will include classical, Broadway and Civil War music.

Admission is by season subscription, or individuals tickets. Adult tickets are $25. For tickets, call Jan Redfearn at 472-3396, or Carolyn Scarbrough at 580-4541.
