Arts Alive Tour due April 5 & 6

The Arts Alive artist studio tour on Saturday and Sunday, April 5 and 6, will feature 24 artists at 13 different sites in Northumberland and Lancaster counties. Proceeds will benefit the Northumberland Public Library, 7204 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville.

Talented fiber artist Penny Mace of Reedville will open up her studio for Arts Alive.

Maps are available, giving detailed directions to the studio locations, reported Corrine Anthony.

Tour hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 5, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 6. Light refreshments will be provided at the studios. Most studios have access to rest rooms, and several of the studios are fully handicap accessible. Door prizes of selected artwork are currently on display at the library, said Anthony.

Driving maps may be previewed at, or call 580-5051. Tour tickets are $20; children ages 12 and younger are free. Tickets may be purchased on tour days. Ticket outlets include the Northumberland Public Library in Heathsville, Foxy in Kilmarnock, Wildest Dreams in Burgess and EVB branches in Callao, Heathsville, Burgess and Kilmarnock.
