Approximately 50 exuberantly decorated golf carts, wagons, pets, scooters, pedestrians, a vintage tractor and a horse will observe Independence Day in a small-town America celebration Northern Neck-style, reported Mary Byrd Martin. The public is welcome.

Led by grand marshals Steve and Jackie Sykes, entries will traverse a parade route from Morattico Road at Sunnybrook Lane, down Riverside Drive, and end at the museum on Morattico Road, said Martin.

Spectators are urged to bring chairs and flags. Vantage points for viewing are available along the parade route, she said.
