Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets will be $15 at the door.

The concert, sponsored by healthcare workers union 1199SEIU, will support voter mobilization, advocacy for good jobs and other issues vital to community. Proceeds go to the State Conference of Virginia NAACP.

The concert will feature a host of notable R&B artists including The Manhattans, Lenny Williams, Angela Winbush, GQ and Kathy Sledge of the Grammy-award winning group Sister Sledge.

“It’s going to be a great night of R&B and soul music for the whole family plus an opportunity to contribute to an important cause,” said 1199SEIU president George Gresham.

“1199SEIU is proud to work with the NAACP to ensure that the voices of working families are heard at the polls this November. Now more than ever, it’s crucial for us to raise our voices for good jobs, voting rights, education, healthcare, equal treatment under the law and other pressing issues,” said Gresham.

“These are the kinds of timeless hits that everyone from toddlers to grandmothers can dance to, and it will be a fun night filled with love, respect, unity and great music,” he added.
