Old Dog New Tricks will take the stage Friday night at the Richmond County Fair.

Gates open at 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday; 10 a.m. Thursday and Friday; and 9 a.m. Saturday, reported spokesman Kim Calvert. The fair closes at 11 p.m.

Admission is $2 per person at the gate, said Calvert. Wristband ride specials Wednesday and Thursday nights are $25 at the gate, and $12 at local merchants if purchased by August 10. Tuesday night is a sneak preview night with a wristband special at the gate of $10. From 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, rides cost one ticket each—for those younger than age 18. Rosedale Attractions & Shows Inc. will operate rides, games and a food court.

There will be farm animals on exhibit, provided by 4-H clubs, she said. The 4-H clubs also will compete in shows, including beef cattle, sheep and goats, hunting dogs, poultry and rabbits, a pets and a miniature horse show.

Businesses and fair sponsors will have displays and booths, continued Calvert. There will be bingo and food vendors. Jonathan Austin will perform magic and juggling acts Friday and Saturday nights.

Nightly musical entertainment will include:

• Tuesday, Peggylee Gospel Sounds, The Reunion 4, and P.4.E Ministries.

• Wednesday, Garner Family and Friends, Faron Hamblin, and Legacy.

• Thursday, Josh Grigsby and the County Line Pickers, and Cactus Jack.

• Friday, Old Dogs New Tricks, and Cold Steel Country.

• Saturday, PCB Idol Contest Finals, and Andy Vaughan and Driveline.
