The Education Committee of the Foundation for Historic Christ Church will conduct training for new and returning volunteers the mornings of March 16 and 18 beginning at 9 a.m. at the 1735 church near Weems.

After coffee and refreshments, the March 16 session will highlight the new interactive exhibits in the expanded gallery. Education director and curator Robert Teagle will present “Religious Freedom in Colonial and Revolutionary Virginia.” The morning will end with a self-guided tour of the museum.
The March 18 session will include information about the nuts and bolts of serving as a volunteer. Nathaniel Neblett, AIA, an historical architect, will conduct a tour of the church. The tour, “Architecture and Preservation at Historic Christ Church,” is an annual and popular event. The training session will conclude with a buffet lunch.
