BELLE ISLE STATE PARK is now hiring for several seasonal positions:
MAINTENANCE RANGERS. Duties include cutting grass, trail maintenance, cleaning buildings, operation of power equipment. May assist with fee collection and other duties as assigned. Requires a valid driver’s license and working some weekends, holidays and events.
PARK INTERPRETER. The interpretive duties include developing, advertising and presenting programs about the park’s natural and cultural environment; conducting guided canoe trips, leading Junior Ranger programs for children and providing general information to the public. May assist with other duties as assigned. Requires a valid drivers license and working most weekends and holidays.
CONTACT RANGER. Duties include collecting parking fees, answering phones, and providing information about the park. May assist with other duties as assigned. Requires working most weekends and holidays.
HOUSEKEEPER SENIOR. Duties include cleaning and making beds in the Bel Air Mansion and Guest House for weekly/ nightly rentals, cleaning of other park facilities and inventorying supplies. May assist with fee collection and other duties as assigned. Requires a valid driver’s license and working a flexible schedule with some weekend, holiday and evening shifts.
