Home-schoolers to
study Virginia Indians

Belle Isle State Park will host a program for home-school families about Virginia Indians from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, November 10.

Students will study primary sources and have a chance to handle replicas of artifacts of early inhabitants, said chief interpreter Charlene Talcott. Topics will include language, food, transportation and lives of Indian children, as well as the lives of Virginia Indians today.

The fee is $2 per student with a maximum of $6 per family.  Adults accompanying their children are not charged a fee.
