Other club officers present were vice president Heather Kirby, secretary Alexis Simpson, treasurer Sarah Haynie, historian Mallory O’Bier, parliamentarian Elizabeth Bowen and reporter Ty Kirby.

Since this was the planning meeting for the coming year, everyone got a chance to bring their ideas up for discussion. The members came up with a lot of fun and good activities such as having a bonfire marshmallow roast, cook-out, pool/beach party, bowling and a fun night/talent show.

Educational activities will include Hippology Contests, Horse Bowl, Presentation Night, guest speakers, county fairs, horse shows and livestock projects.

The club thanked the Historic Tavern Foundation for having a new, large American flag available for meetings.

The next meeting will be held February 4.
