Coach Joanne Webb-Fary comments following the Lady Devils, 85-45, quarterfinal win over Buckingham.

Game time is 9 p.m.

Lancaster made its way into the state semifinals with a runaway 85-45 win over Region B’s Buckingham in a quarterfinal game at the Siegel Center last Saturday.

The Lady Devils took control early, hitting the Knights with a 16-2 run in a three-minute span in the opening quarter. Lancaster outscored Buckingham 31-9 in the first eight minutes to take an overwhelming lead that the Knights couldn’t overcome.

“I think we go into every game, whether we think it’s going to be close or not, saying we’re going to go 100 miles an hour!” said LHS coach Joanne Webb-Fary. “The girls play so hard in every game. They just come out so hard it’s kind of intimidating and that’s what we’re going to do in the state tournament.”

Webb-Fary, who went deep on the bench in the first half, got 11 different players into the state game. She got a 22-point effort in the first half from Region A player of the year Andrea White.

Lancaster sank 5 of 7 free throws and connected on 24 of 42 shots from the floor in the first half to take a 49-23 lead.

Jasmine Moody chipped in 11 in the first half and Ashley Ransome scored eight.
